I have Rhumatoid Arthritis and a friend has Loopus will the Monavie juice affect the medication we are on such as Cortisone and I am on Orencia infusions as well.

It's a food - so there should be no contra indications with medications, unless the user has an intolerance to the fruits that make up the juice. If you have Rhumatoid Arthritis and live outside of Australia you can purchase Monavie Active which has a higher level of Glucosamine in it which is said to help with such conditions like Arthritis.

Could you please tell me if you need to take a calcium supplement when you are taking the monavie juice?

To give you a short answer is not possible. The best way to look at Monavie is as a juice and not as a wonder drug or medicine. It is honestly up to you if you want to keep taking the supplement but it is recommended that you do if you have had a low calcium level recorded.

No. While Monavie is used to treat many ailments it is basically a fruit juice. While some fruit juices are known for causing acid reflux this is not one of Monavie is not one that is known to cause such symptons.

While people who are taking warfrin for various conditions can take Monavie it is recommended that you do consult with your physician or medical practitioner before purchasing.

The Acai berry extract has shown to trigger a self destruct response in up to 86 percent of leukaemia cells in a test tube environment. However as always scientists are quick to point out that more human patient studies and trials are needed before being able to claim anti-cancer properties or confirmed health benefits. A big participant in this research is the University of Florida.

Sodium benzoate, an organic chemical preservative, can prevent the growth of almost all micro-organisms (e.g., yeast, bacteria, and fungi) and occurs naturally in some fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, nuts, wines, and teas.
Why do some Acai berry products contain the preservative Polysorbate?
In order for a blend of water based fruits and essential fatty acids that tasted palatable, many products contain a number of emulsifiers. The safest by far is Polysorbate. Polysorbate has been thoroughly researched and has been found to be non-toxic and safe at the amounts used in various Acai berry base products.
If someone is allergic to shellfish can they consume glucosamine hydrochloride?

Shellfish are a known allergen and glucosamine is derived from prawn / shrimp shells. People who are allergic to shellfish are actually allergic to a protein known as “Troponin” which is found in the muscle of prawns / shrimp. Analysis of various Acai berry gels available has indicated there is no protein in the glucosamine hydrochloride.

 

Glucosamine hydrochloride, the form of glucosamine found in various Acai berry gels is more than 99% pure. Because shellfish is a known allergen please speak to a doctor before purchasing any Acai berry gel products.

Are Acai berry based products gluten-free?
Yes as a general rule of thumb but you may need to check the product label first.
Is there any vitamin K in Acai berry based products?
Vitamin K levels in various Acai berry based products are approximately 12.4 mg/oz. This can be an issue for people using blood thinning medication but check with your doctor first.
How much potassium is in Acai Original and Acai Active?
The potassium levels vary from product to product but in some Acai berry based products it has been indicated that approximately 62-66mg/oz is in some of these products commercially available. If you are concerned about the potassium levels in relation to other health related issues please consult your doctor for advice.
What are Esterified fatty acids?
Esterified fatty acids are designed to reduce pain like symptoms and promote joint health, improving flexibility and mobility. Esterification is a name for a chemical reaction which is caused by two chemicals generally alcohol and acids that cause the formation of an ester as a bi-product of the reaction.
